The Dark Side…

Yup. I’m there now. I now have an iPhone in a pretty purple case in my grubby little paws.

Why I now have an iPhone, when nothing was wrong with my Galaxy S4:

Someone stole my daughter’s S3 on Tuesday. They took it from a pile of her things, leaving the earbuds that had previously been plugged in. She loved that phone, and had waited all summer for her father to decide to buy it to replace a barely functioning Samsung Replenish.

Adam, knowing how long it would take John to decide on a course of action, suggested we switch her to our plan.

Now, I could have kept mine and bought her a new phone, but she has this bad habit of losing things and leaving things unattended. So I took the opportunity to upgrade, gave her the S4, and got that thing insured.

Why iPhone? Samsung has lost its few advantages, like the changeable battery and upgradable memory. Prices being the same, and with the iPhone appearing to be better constructed, I decided I am over having to replace a micro USB cable every three weeks. Also, Google is starting to get a little creepy. So now I’m going to learn the new operating system.

Life is all about changes. 😎

  1. My wife has an S4, and we’ve gone through a lot of chargers. It’s good to know it’s not just her phone. I started with an Iphone 3GS in 2010, got a 5 last year and trying to decide if I want a 6S or wait on the next one. Biggest difference is that I’m done financing phones. When it’s time to upgrade, I’m just buying it outright, I don’t want to be tied down to a plan.

    1. I bought the 6 plus because they didn’t have the 6S plus in stock, and I wanted he bigger screen. The faster processor would have been nice, and I would have preferred the camera on the S, but I’m satisfied.

  2. Hubs and I switched several years ago, and we never looked back. It does take a bit of getting used to when coming from Android, but I loooooooooooooooove my iPhone. Hubs just replaced his 4 this year with a 6 plus, and my daughter decided to wash my 6 a few months ago. It still works great! They are a bit pricey, but totally worth it.
