Taking out Garbage

Monday Monday Monday…

After a long, hard day at work, I came home and CLEANED. Sadly, it’s not spotless… I really need to pile some stuff up to donate and/or throw away, but I made some leeway in the kitchen, living room, dining room, and entrance today.

I had a dream the other night… I went to get into my van, and realized that someone had come and stolen all the stuff that’s been accumulating inside over the course of the past four years. While I worried about what personal information the thieves might have, I seriously contemplated writing them a thank you note for taking care of a problem.

If only someone could break into my house and steal the piles of music books that I can’t quite bring myself to sort – the ones that broke the book shelf they were on. Wishful thinking, eh?

It’s not that I don’t want my stuff, it’s that I seem to always have more than I truly need. So I know it’s time to go through stuff, declutter, and part ways with things I really haven’t used in the entire time I’ve lived in this house.

I’ve been sorting and getting rid of things at work, as a big side project. I had the wonderful job of going through a 4 inch binder full of “Emergency Contacts” that had piled up, old ones staying in even though they had been replaced with slightly more current data… Some of the records dated back to 2007, had updates next to them from 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014. I pared that sucker down to about two inches in the binder.

I want an industrial paper shredder like the one at work. Somebody get me one of those things.

It was busy most of the day, but I still managed to doodle and create drawings of cats.

Cat doodles
Enjoy some cat doodles. I’m sure your day is now complete…

Okay, I’m wiped out.
