Music to soothe…

I added a few lines to my Weird Wednesday post. The adrenaline rush of the crazy afternoon helped ease my headache, at least for now, but I’m concerned that when the evening calms back down over the next hour and a half of the shift, it may come back with a vengeance.

That has me thinking about some of the things I do to de-stress. Back before I left my piano behind in New York, I used to play for long periods of time. I was mediocre at best, but I loved it. Now, I have to settle for listening to soothing music.

I thought it would be fun to share some of the music I absolutely love. And yes, I am a big fan of Brahms, Rachmaninoff, etc.

I actually learned how to play the Schubert Impromptu fairly well… It always reminded me of flowing water.

I doubt I will ever have the skill to play Rachmaninoff… But if I ever *do* get another piano, I will continue to butcher the music in the comfort of my own home because I’m stubborn and I *want* to play Rachmaninoff.

I think I need to go sniff some lavender for a while…
