Conspiracy Theory

Ronald Reagan and a mix of assorted right wing politicos
Ronald Reagan and four of his Horcruxes

We were driving along talking about various similarities between Governor Rick Scott and Governor Scott Walker today, when I proposed a theory: What if the Republican party was really comprise of a single entity, a hive mind, which has installed members of its being in various government offices around the country?

Rick Scott Walker Santorum Perry.

I decided I wanted to create a photo that morphed from one being to another, but wound up, instead, superimposing the face of each onto the body of another, as you can see in the photograph above. At some point, I realized that each of the monstrosities I had created bore some resemblance to a common ancestor: Ronald Reagan.

I think I’m on to something. I think Ronald Reagan may have created horcruxes to live on after his death. For those of you who are not familiar with Harry Potter, this is the definition found on the Harry Potter wikia:

A Horcrux is a powerful object in which a Dark wizard or witch has hidden a fragment of his or her soul for the purpose of attaining immortality. Creating one Horcrux gives one the ability to anchor one’s own soul to earth if the body is destroyed; the more horcruxes one creates, the closer one is to true immortality. Creating multiple Horcruxes is suggested to be costly to the creator, by both diminishing their humanity and even physically disfiguring them.

Yeah, I know, he had Alzheimer’s Disease… But what if he did it before that set in? What do you think? Could it be that all politicians really are just extensions of a hive, placed to rule? Sounds a little like a familiar Simpson’s episode.

New Genre: Political Horror Stories. Have fun!
