If a picture is worth a thousand words, what does this one say to you?

In the creative writing workshop I’ve attended (and loved) we are often given prompts to get us writing.  Some of the prompts are from Writer’s Digest magazine, and frequently they are photographs.  This is a photograph I found while flipping through an album of mine.  I won’t disclose anything about this photograph at this time… I am interested to see what sort of reaction people have to the photo.  If you were writing a story, based on this picture, what would your opening line or lines be?  Anything written here remains the property of the person who wrote it… 🙂

  1. After the second nor’easter hit Long Island in three days, we went back to find the house gone. Jed was only seven, but it is still a shock to the system. He asked me if I thought the house suffered during the storms.
